Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy covers Utilier Insights (the pages under /blog). It is a simple, read-only publication โ there are no accounts, comments, or newsletters here. For the privacy policy of the Utilier tools themselves, see the app's own Privacy page.
1. What we collect
Nothing you have to type in. The blog has no sign-up, no comment form, and no contact form. The only data involved is:
- Theme preference โ whether you're viewing the blog in light or dark mode, saved in your browser's
localStorageso it's remembered on your next visit. This never leaves your device. - Search text โ the search box filters posts entirely in your browser; what you type is never sent anywhere.
2. Server logs
Like virtually any website, our hosting/server may keep standard access logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not used to build advertising profiles and are not sold or shared with third parties.
3. Cookies
The blog does not set any cookies. It reads and writes exactly one localStorage key (your theme choice) โ no third-party tracking cookies are used on this site.
4. Analytics & advertising
The blog itself does not run analytics or advertising scripts. (The main Utilier site may use anonymous, aggregate analytics separately โ see its own privacy policy.)
5. Third-party links
Blog posts may link out to external sites (documentation, tools, references). Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies โ we have no control over external content.
6. Children's privacy
This blog is a general developer-audience publication and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the blog after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
8. Contact
Questions about this policy can be directed through the contact options listed on the main Utilier site, or by email.
